1 minute weekly web wonder – week 34

Thank goodness it’s Friday, to help brighten up your day and to help you with your planning at weekends, I will be posting a weekly web based idea that will take just 1 minute of your time to read about. If you like what you read then why not try it out in your lessons next week!

Newspaper Clipping Generator – http://tinyurl.com/v5dns

Newspaper clipping

I was looking to make up some newspaper cuttings from real papers and after scanning them in they just didn’t look good enough, then I remembered this site that a brilliant Aussie teacher showed me last year, her name is Kylie Taig @Ky_maree.

This is a really simple tool where you can generate your own newspaper clippings in just a couple of minutes then download them as a image in jpg format. This great example literally took 3 minutes to produce but you can imaging what students could produce. I think this is a great tool.

In the famous words of Gary Barlow ‘it only takes a minute…’

Happy newspaper clipping generat-ing! Smile
